Welcome to SAPS, Southern Arizona’s premier practical shooting club near Tucson, Arizona. We host monthly USPSA competitions and free weekly practice sessions at the Tucson Rifle Club. SAPS is the range sponsor and host of Glock’s GSSF Duel in the Desert each November. New shooters are welcome.

The GSSF Duel in the Desert is part of the nationwide Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) match series. Each year, hundreds of shooters travel to Tucson Rifle Club to test their skills, meet fellow Glock enthusiasts, and enjoy a weekend of safe, structured competition. Whether you’re new to GSSF or a seasoned competitor, Duel in the Desert offers a friendly environment, valuable range experience, and plenty of opportunities to learn from certified and experienced practical shooters.
Tucson USPSA & SAPS Events
SAPS is a registered USPSA club that hosts official matches on the first and third Saturday of every month at the Tucson Rifle Club.
Members also enjoy free weekly practical shooting practice sessions every Tuesday from 7:30 AM to noon (range fee required).
New shooters and Glock owners are welcome to join and experience
practical shooting in Tucson, Arizona.
